Claudia Jaramillo

Claudia is a Colombian professional who, after earning her degree in Systems Engineering, returned to Costa Rica,ten years after her previous visit,to settle in this beautiful country, where she has now lived for over 30 years.

Throughout her career, she has worked in the technology field with leading global companies such as Microsoft, HP, HPE, and most recently IBM, where she worked in cybersecurity. Her professional journey reflects a strong commitment to innovation, continuous learning, and excellence in the field of technology.

For three years, Claudia led the Diversity and Inclusion Volunteer Program focused on people with disabilities and neurodiversity. In this role, she organized and facilitated educational talks aimed at preventing discrimination, raising awareness about different disabilities, including hearing loss and blindness, and highlighting the productive potential of every individual. She also coordinated events in collaboration with other organizations to commemorate important initiatives.

In 2019, Claudia moved to Tamarindo to begin a new chapter alongside her husband, their family, and their beloved cat, who is truly the spoiled member of the household. She is fluent in Spanish and English, speaks some Portuguese, and is currently learning Italian, her husband’s native language.
